Harbor Regional Health Selects Meditech Expanse as Its New Electronic Medical Records System

Transforming Your Medical Records for Better Care

We’re excited to share that Harbor Regional Health is in the process of transitioning to Meditech Expanse, a modern, web-based electronic medical record (EMR) system that will unify your Community Hospital and Medical Group medical records.

Why this matters

Right now, our hospital and clinics use two different record systems. With Meditech Expanse, we’re building a single, integrated platform that improves communication between your care teams, reduces delays, and enhances your overall experience.

What you can expect

  • One patient portal for all your HRH visits—hospital and clinic

  • Easier appointment scheduling

  • Access to records, messages, and test results—all in one place

  • Fewer repetitive forms and questions

  • Improved coordination with specialists, even outside HRH

Our timeline

This is a large project that will unfold over the next year:

  • Summer–Fall 2025: Building and testing the system

  • Early 2026: Launch of the new EMR

  • Spring 2026: Ongoing improvements based on your feedback

We’re working with experienced consultants to make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

What’s next

We’ll use this blog to share regular updates, answer common questions, and highlight how this new system benefits you. Whether you're a patient, family member, or community partner, we want you to feel informed every step of the way.

This upgrade is about more than just technology—it’s about making sure the right information is available at the right time, so you get the best care possible.
