Description:

Position Summary:

  • Highly effective, self-directed quality professional, responsible to lead, manage, develop, facilitate, integrate, and support quality activities within the organization.
  • The Director of Quality, Risk Management, and Compliance will operate under the guidelines that all activities are based upon a collaboratively designed, planned, systematic, interdisciplinary, and quality driven approach.
  • Oversees and monitors the implementation of the Hospital Compliance Program.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable with major course work in business administration, health care administration, or graduation from an accredited nursing or other medical training program;
  • Specific training in hospital corporate compliance;
  • CEN certification;
  • Knowledge of fraud and abuse regulations, health reimbursement system, third party payer guidelines, and general coding practices;
  • Highly organized, self-directed ability to supervise, manage, and lead effectively;
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to develop, implement, and monitor organizational programs and processes;
  • Ability to prioritize time, schedules and activities; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
  • Possess interpersonal communication skills; able to listen, engage in problem-solving, and give feedback;
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization; Knowledge of performance improvement methodology and facilitation skills;
  • Knowledge of group process and meeting skills; Knowledge of customer service standards and processes;
  • Ability to schedule, coordinate, and provide support for multiple committees/groups/teams, etc;
  • Ability to develop and present documents encompassing, but not limited to policies and procedures, spreadsheets, statistical process and graphic presentation for various levels of committee/board review.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver educational programs;
  • Ability to lead and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, medical staff, and external vendors;
  • Ability to interpret standards and translate them into organizational policy;
  • Ensures compliance and state, federal, TJC, and hospital standards.
